Soviet Russian USSR Order of the Red Star with 6-digit serial number in the 700-800 thousand range (an even thousand) awarded in 1944 to Colonel Nikolai Levichev of the Artillery Technical Service for preparing the artillery of an entire corps for an offensive into Belarus. Levichev joined the Red Army in 1931, training as an artillery specialist. He fought in the Winter War against Finland in 1939. During WWII, he was decorated several times for his tireless efforts to arm and outfit the artillery of the formations in which he served, personally inspecting the state of artillery on the front lines.
In addition to the present Red Star, he earned the Combat Service Medal in 1942, Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class in 1945, and Polish Medal for Merits in the Field of Glory in Bronze.
