Soviet Russian Medal Order of the Red Star, 1945, YER-2 BOMBER, Lt. Colonel

  
Lieutenant in the 329th Bomber Regiment, armed with the Yer-2 Bomber. Goncharov received the award for his excellence as head of the regimental administrative department and previously as acting chief of staff of the 122nd Fighter Regiment. He shepherded the 329th through its reforming and rearming with the Yer-2 bomber, during which process he filled the regiment's ranks with necessary personnel and trained the workers of his department in conducting secret and top secret work. Goncharov e arned medals for the Defense of Moscow, and Leningrad and the Capture of Berlin.

He was additionally awarded a Combat Merit Medal, a second Order of the Red Star, and an Order of the Red Banner for length of service. As seen in the images!
