Soviet Russian USSR Order of the Red Star with serial number in the 2.6 million range awarded in 1946 to Red Army Soldier Pyotr Loginov, former rifleman and mortarman of the 275th Guards Rifle Regiment, 91st Guards Rifle Division, 3rd Belorussian Front, for severe wounds received in combat in 1943 and 1944. Loginov was previously awarded a Bravery Medal for a battle in July 1944 during which "he displayed boldness and courage" and repulsed three enemy counterattacks, killing up to 20 Germans in the process. It appears that he was severely wounded in the throat during this battle, leading in part to his receipt of this Order of the Red Star.In October 1943, he has suffered a severe wound to his left arm. The citation for the Red Star notes that Loginov had difficulty speaking due to his wound. Condition is as seen in the images! The serial number of the award is authentic and matches the serial number shown in the archival documents.
